ShellingWork the shoreline at your pace
Caladesi's beaches and sandbars are famous for shells. Drift in, cut the motor, and walk the waterline with a bag in hand.
Caladesi Island · Dunedin(a) Caladesi Island, by water
Drive your own electric GoBoat to one of the last undeveloped barrier islands on this coast. No ferry line, no experience, no fuel smell — just a slow, quiet boat, a shell bag, and a beach that still feels wild.
(b) What the cruise looks like
Caladesi Island has no road in — most visitors queue for the ferry and stay near the dock. A GoBoat from the Dunedin Causeway puts you on the quiet side of the island: the sandbars, the shelling stretches and the shallow water in between.

Dogs welcomeDogs ride along for free on every rental. The round inflatable deck gives them a stable place to sit, and the quiet motor keeps the day calm for nervous passengers.
Golden hourWhen the ferry crowds head home, the island goes quiet. A late two-hour slot puts you on the water for the best light of the day.
